MAKE SURE THE STATE IS ABLE TO REACH YOU DURING THE MEDICAID RENEWAL PROCESS.

Here are some steps you can take to avoid interruptions in your child's Medicaid coverage if they are still eligible:

Check that the state has the right contact information (phone number, address, email) on file for you. You can update your contact information in the state benefits management portal:

Opt in to all notifications in your benefits management portal so the state is able to reach you.

Be prepared. Gather information about your income, assets, and members of your family so you can have it ready if it is needed during the review process.

IF YOUR CHILD IS NO LONGER ELIGIBLE FOR MEDICAID COVERAGE, YOU HAVE OPTIONS.

Good news! Your child can still be covered by low or no-cost health insurance through the Texas Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

You can enroll your child in a free or affordable plan at any time during the year:
